A Party Game for All Ages
Adapted from Baron Von Munchausen's Storytelling game.
The GOAL: Have as much fun as possible telling stories about dragons!
The Rules: All players sit at a table. The youngest player goes first to tell the beginning of a story. When she is done, she says in a loud voice, "BUT THEN...." and the next player clockwise picks up the tale. The story will be passed with a "BUT THEN" until every player has chipped in and the story is over.
The story should end with the last player, or can be passed around for a second round if the going is good, but it should always make a complete pass so everyone has an equal turn telling the tale.
If you are playing with younger children: everyone wins! Talk about moments you loved in the story, or talk about details you found intriguing.
If you want a more difficult challenge, chose 1 judge. At the end of the story the judge will award points for cool moments. At the end of 3 stories, the person with the most points wins. Judges cannot award points to themselves and a new judge must be chosen for each story.
TIPS: If you find you have difficulties telling a focused tale, try choosing a question to answer or a theme for the story before you begin. Player 1 would select the theme they like or make up their own. Here are some ideas to get your started.
